Everyday I take some online English lessons.
Yesterday, my English teacher told me not to use "please" so many times.
Yes, I often use this word.
"Please come again?"
"Please slow down?"
and so on.
It is too polite? But for me, it is very normal.
In Japan, courtesy and modesty are concidered very important in comparison with other countries(maybe).
These things make us polite.
We show the politeness in every way ,especially through our words.
We tend to use "please" in Japanese often even to our frends.
So for me, trying not to use "please" is very hard thing. I feel it is very rude and uncomfortable, because I always want to be a polite person.
But,I want to become a good Englsih speaker like Americans.
So it's time I disregard the frequent use of "please ". OK, I will try.
By the way, there's a word which really I hate.
The word is "huh". Englsih speakers use this word in many situations, especially when they can't catch what they are told.
Actually when I heard this word for the first time, I got angry.
Because it is same as "HA" in Japanese, which means scorn.
This Japanese word is very rude.
After I learned about the word "huh", I could understand its meaning, but it makes me feel uncomfortable until now.
I should get used to using it.
